چکیده

The conversion of biomass resources into high-value fuels and chemicals using thermochemical methods has become an attractive method energy utilization. In this study, natural minerals were used as raw materials; the acidic sites introduced by ball-milling modification, aldol condensation reaction biomass-based cyclopentanone molecule was carried out under solvent-free conditions. It found that SO3H-APG catalyst—with strong medium-based when -SO3H loading 4 mmol/g—exhibited excellent acid–base co-activation effects a significant catalytic effect in reaction. optimization conditions showed reached 85.53% at temperature 150 °C time h. selectivity dimer trimer 69.04% 28.41%, respectively. investigation mechanism kinetic analysis presence bifunctional catalyst important to facilitate This research route is line with concept sustainable green production also provides promising pathway for design synthesis long-chain hydrocarbons.

Aldol Condensation of Aldehydes and Ketones over Solid Base Catalysts

Introduction Industrially condensation reactions are of great importance in the production of a number of key compounds. These include 2-ethyl hexanol, methyl isobutyl ketone (MIBK) and Guerbet alcohols. Over 1.5 million tonnes of these chemicals are produced worldwide every year using homogeneous bases such as NaOH and Ca(OH)2. It has been estimated for these compounds that 30% of the selling ...

Solvent Pre-treated Effects of Carbon Nanotube-supported Cobalt Catalysts on Activity and Selectivity of Fischer-Tropsch Synthesis

In this study, the effect of preparation technique of carbon nanotube (CNT)-supported cobalt catalysts on the activity and selectivity of Fischer-Tropsch synthesis (FTS) was studied. Different concentrations of acetic acid were used for the pretreatment of the catalyst support to modify the surface properties of CNT. This modification improved the reduction degree and dispersion of supported co...

Montmorillonite clay-promoted, solvent-free cross-aldol condensations under focused microwave irradiation.

An environmentally benign, clean and general protocol was developed for the synthesis of aryl and heteroaryl trans-chalcones. This method involved solvent-free reaction conditions under microwave irradiation in the presence of a clay-based catalyst, and afforded the target compounds in good yields and short reaction times. Furthermore, the same conditions allowed the synthesis of symmetrical, d...
